A Calm Unbroken Stream

Verse 1

In the hush of twilight when the world grows still,
A breath of wisdom rises over valley and hill.
A lotus-opening moment where illusions fall away,
And the wandering heart finds peace each day.

Chorus

Can you feel the Dharma tonight—
The truth that lights the way?
It guides the travellers step
Along the Middle Way
Can you feel the Dharma tonight
Its calm, unbroken stream?
It lifts both kings and beggars up
Toward compassion’s boundless dream.

Verse 2

There’s a time for waking when all beings learn,
That the wheel of karma revolves us each in turn.
The mandala of living shifts in colors bright and deep,
And hearts beat in rhythm with the vows they choose to keep.

Chorus

Can you feel the Dharma tonight—
The truth that lights the way?
It guides the travellers steps
Along the Middle Way.

Can you feel the Dharma tonight—
Its calm, unbroken stream?
It lifts both kings and beggars up
Toward compassion’s boundless dream.

No start, no end to unwind

From the moment we take form in this place,
And awaken to sunlight with wonder and grace,
The teachings unfold in a world deep and wide,
More truths than wavelets riding the tide.

Endless the visions the mind can behold,
Endless the stories the Dharma has told.
Above us the sun in its radiance bright,
Moves through the sky in rivers of light.

All beings together, both mighty and small,
Turn in the wheel that encircles us all.
This cycle of life, Leads through sorrow and cheer,
Through shadow and wisdom That quiets our fear.

With trust in the Dharma, And compassion to guide,
We walk the path, Where illusions subside.
Until we discover Our place in the whole—
A journey unending, A mandala of no-soul.

The wheel keeps on turning, Through darkness and gleam,
Through doubt and devotion, Through waking and dream.
And step after step, On the path we will find,
A circle unbroken, No start, no end to unwind.
